The Senior Experience

Congratulations! Senior year is here.

Yeah! The year you've been preparing for since they went to Kindergarten is finally upon you. It's a year with lots of firsts, including senior pictures. Many of my parents need guidance about how the senior picture process works. This is the page where we'll dive into it all. I'm happy to be your partner on this journey

Timeline of the Senior Experience

SCHEDULE

I start booking in January for the summer and fall. Pick a time of year that works best with your busy schedule. If you need a picture for the yearbook, take this into account.

CONSULT

One month prior to your shoot, we'll have a consult to go over outfits, locations and answer any other questions you have. This can take remotely or in person.

SHOOT

The big day is here! Sessions last 2 hours. If you're a senior girl, hair and makeup adds additional time, but it's worth it to make sure you look and feel your best.

REVEAL

Approximately 2 weeks after your shoot, you'll come to the studio for a slideshow to see your awesome images. I'll walk you through the process of picking your favorites and your collection.

DELIVERY

About 2 weeks after your reveal, your digitals will be ready. Next, after 4 -6 weeks, your beautiful products will arrive at the studio and we'll arrange a time for you to pick them up.

In order to make your senior portrait experience as seamless as possible, you'll schedule all three appointments when you book with me. You'll schedule your consult, the actual shoot and your reveal. Be sure to have your calendar handy when scheduling.

Trust me, I know senior year is filled with so many activities. Having all three of these appointments on your schedule ahead of time means you can check it off the list.

Let's do it!

Senior Investment

Your senior investment starts with a  session fee and collections are purchased separately.

Session fee for senior portraits includes the following:

  • Consultation prior to your session to discuss your shoot, help you pick outfits, and talk about the vibe of your shoot including locations

  • Magazine full of tips and suggestions on how to make the best of your shoot

  • Complimentary professional hair and makeup

  • Approximately 2 hours of shooting time

  • Personal reveal and ordering session

Session fee $400

*Please note the session fee of $400 is non-refundable and is not applied toward the purchase of a collection. *

My collections start at $1899. The average client invests anywhere from  $2400 to $3000. All of my collections include a 10x10 heirloom album and different amounts of digitals. My top collection includes an album and wall art. Payment plans are available. I understand this IS an investment. It's a year you won't get back.

Here are the most frequently asked questions.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please Reach Out.

  • How do I schedule?
If you have all the information you need and you are ready to schedule, you can schedule right from my website. Use the "book now" button to pick your three appointment dates. You'll pick your consult date, the actual shoot date, and your reveal date. Be sure to have your calendar handy when scheduling.
  • What should I wear?
You'll receive a comprehensive guide to get your juices flowing with tips and suggestions to think about when picking outfits. The pre-session in person consultation option is the perfect chance to talk about your outfit choices.
  • What is a pre-session consult?
Prior to your session, you'll have the opportunity for us to chat about your outfit choices as well as locations. This is a fantastic way for us to work together to come up with a game plan for your session.
  • Where will you take my pictures?
Through working closely with you to determine the look and feel you want for your session, I’ll suggest some locations. I have lots of place that are my favorite to capture the look you are after as well the perfect light.
  • What if the weather looks bad or it rains?
I constantly watch the weather. I’ll be in contact with you a few days before your shoot. If the weather is in question, we will reschedule. I leave room in my schedule for weather
  • Where will I change?
I have a pop up changing dressing room, for real. Changing in the car is also an option. Many seniors are used to this as they change clothes on the go for their busy activities.
  • How many outfits can I bring?
Three is typical to allow for time to change.
  • How many locations will we visit during the shoot?
Due to timing, 2 locations is best. When we pick the vibe you want for your session, I'll map out locations that are in close proximity to each other, but still match your vibe.
  • Do I really need hair and makeup? I'm pretty good at doing my own or I don't wear a lot of makeup.
Well done hair and makeup will make or break your photos. Period. Everyday makeup is different than makeup for the camera. I have curated a team of experienced hair and makeup artists. They listen to the look you’re after, what level of makeup you're comfortable wearing, ask you about your outfits, and then gives you a look to die for!
  • Where does hair and makeup take place?
Hair and makeup takes place at my studio in Cabot.
  • What is the timing of starting hair and makeup versus starting my actual shoot?
Hair and makeup typically takes 90 minutes. Depending on where we are doing your shoot, travel time will need to be factored into start time of hair and makeup.
  • Who should I bring along to my session?
Typically moms come along for shoots. Dads are welcome. Best friends including furry creatures are welcome too. Bring anyone who makes you happy and feel comfortable.
  • What if I have blemishes?
No problem! Blemishes will be edited out of the images you purchase. When you come back for your reveal and ordering appointment, the images will be softly edited. The images you purchase are put through a thorough editing process, and that is the stage where blemishes will be removed.
  • What is a reveal and ordering appointment and how long does it take?
During your reveal, we will look at your softly edited images and talk about how you plan on displaying your images. A typical session lasts about an hour. If you need a picture submitted for the yearbook, we'll also talk about it during your appointment.
  • Can I get an online gallery to pick my images?
Currently, I don’t have that capability, and I have found the reveal process to be extremely effective.
  • Will you submit a yearbook picture for me?
You betcha - all I need is the email address where to submit it along with any yearbook guidelines.
  • Can I purchase only the digitals?
Digital images can’t be framed or put on display. I work closely with my clients to offer the best products that will display their images. Each one of my collections includes a few digital images to all of them.
  • Do I have the printing rights to my digital images?
Yes. You have complete printing rights to the digital images you purchase. I have a lab that I trust and we'll talk about that at your reveal appointment.
  • Do you offer payment options?
Yes. I understand this is an investment and offer different options. Products and digitals are not delivered until the balance is paid in full.
